Special General Meeting
Wednesday 6th April 2011
A special general meeting of the Spotswood Football Club will be Held on Sunday the 20th of November to be convened at BRYAN MARTIN OVAL, MARKET ST, NEWPORT, commencing at 12 midday.
The purpose of the Special General Meeting will be solely to discuss and vote on the motion put.
“That Mitchell Beattie be inducted into the Spotswood Football Club as a life member”
The motion is proposed by Tony Walshe and seconded by Chris Murphy
-5 years involvement as a player, coach and assistant.
-4 games short of playing 300 with Spotswood.
-1988 Under 11 Premiership Player
-2000 was awarded SFC Best Club Person
-2008 WRFL nominee for Unsung Hero Award
-Coached junior teams for 4 years within the last 6 Assisted in other years from goal umpire for whole year with under 12′s in 2008 to even a water person in other years.
-Last 3 years prepared junior footballs for game day Assisted Annette with stocktake for last 8 years always picking and dropping off items for Annette at league office or to Annette’s house marked lines on ground last 3 years when working at Hinbro was able to deliver goods for Joan direct to fridge/freezer for canteen.
-Umpires Escort with Seniors & Reserves during finals when a second one required for many many years.
-Assisted in canteen when required.
-Never ever complained if requested to do something, he just did it from moving chairs from or to under the rooms, to even just cleaning up or turning lights off in bottom change rooms when others forget.
-Mitch has been an all-rounder person who has the best interests of the SFC at heart.
-All this and yet he has no kids but wants to stay involved at the club.
-Mitch had his 21st birthday with his family, as usual had a normal square shaped cake, however this had green coloured icing with a yellow Vee icing, and he has been passionate about the club all his life.
